Although there is an emphatic picture of the 'net' and 'pits' of sin, there also is a stronger message of salvation (wholeness). The lament psalms are most effective in providing expressions of hopelessness, anger, fear, guilt, and hope within the context of faith. Their concept of wholeness is substantiated by contemporary scientific research. The church needs to take its part in this emerging discovery of its own ancient world. While wholism in the Psalms relates to the message of Jesus Christ, it is difficult to reconcile with the Pauline concept of human nature and consequently some of the doctrines of the church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799718240547504128,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:31:02.778Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:40:13Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:08:36Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6a3745a4-8aca-456e-84b8-3c256b4e14ee","accessControl_ssim":["abaf7469-e82e-45bb-a93a-4648e880681e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Laughing with God: humor as a spiritual gift"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:40:12Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:14:35Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5d7fc460-20ed-433a-b8f4-8a570dba89b6"],"hasLease_ssim":["436d179b-7282-418e-b479-3947479a0045"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Rueben P Job","Bruce C Birch"],"year_tesim":["1999"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min.
