In 1986 the school needed to be reorganized because it lacked clear goals and a well-defined action plan for accomplishing those goals.  Also, materials used were insufficient for training members.  The implementation of this project demands a sound theological foundation which included an adequate view of scripture, ministry, and the role of the local church as seen in the Assemblies of God.  The biblical and historical role of the laity is discussed in order to provide an adequate basis for implementing a school of lay ministry. It uncovers a spiritual fellowship which ministers to afflicted people. The Christian church and Alcoholics Anonymous are parallel rehabilitative  and regenerative agencies for helping hurting people.  They each can become more effective through building bridges which combine their spiritual resources in a local congregational setting.
