To overcome these barriers, the Eastern Russian version was produced with a contextual cover, alternate terms and names of biblical characters, and footnotes with a Muslim audience in mind. This dissertation examines the premises and processes of the production of this version anthropologically, linguistically and missiologically.  It also evaluates the effectiveness of its contextualization through qualitative field research.
