Composition-naive exegesis stands in dialectical tension with legitimate historical-critical exegesis.  Hermeneutic--the text as subject--emerges as a result of employing these antithetical methodological exegeses.  The compositional-naive method is holistic, concentrating on the discovery of the text's Gestalt.  The method is demonstrated and the author's(s') 'manifestations' for Ephesians, Colossians and Philemon are indicated.
