Information was gathered as interviews in a multiple case study.  Twenty cases were examined and each case included a new believer, the believer's non-Christian parents and the believer's pastor. The study showed that control was significant, but the way it affected decisions depended largely on the degree to which the parents were opposed to Christianity.
