The project explores this hypothesis in light of certain theological and sociological positions which the author determined to be consistent with the nature of the church and 'folk societies'.  The hypothesis is seen to be espescially appropriate to the small church.  The project describes the activities in the parish aimed at the re-appropriation of its heritage.
