The project seeks to prepare students for the requirements and dynamics of ordination, relocation, interviewing, financial negotiation, responding to a call, ministerial ethics, and the first months in the resident pastorate. The project also seeks to affirm laity in the process of ministerial formation. Three program goals include: (1) to establish local church lay support committees for students, (2) to hold a three hour conference, involving faculty, students, and laity, on laity's involvement in theological education, and (3) provide supervisory training for laity through on-site visits by faculty.
