Questionnaires were given before and after the use of the study guide to test its effectiveness. The questionnaires studied a wide range of factors, from social attitude to church involvement.  They also examined attitudes toward the denomination and its leadership.  The factors that tend to correlate with rejection of the new hymnal are: white, male, irregular worship attender, and non-committee member.
