It first adopted the strategy of using Western resources to support Chinese evangelists to share the Gospel with their own people. By the 1960s CNEC-PI grew from an evangelistic effort to the Chinese to global mission agency. CNEC-PI as a pioneer in partnership mission explored adaptive strategies and contextualization for about 70 years. This study was conducted based on archival research, interview, and data analysis to provide a historical account of the formation and development of CNEC-PI.
