Research included an investigation of acting techniques, observation of videotaped sermons, engagement with a Parish Project Group who assisted in the preparation and critique of sermons, and feedback achieved through questionnaires and group discussions. The psycho-physical nature of public performance can be described by four terms--atmosphere, connection, concentration, radiation.
