The project involved researching existing assimilation strategies through readings, church surveys, and interviews; developing an assimilation strategy based on research conclusions; and presenting the strategy to the church members. The project director recruited church members to review materials, evaluate results, and consider the advice of assimilation experts. The proposed assimilation strategy was influenced by models designed by other church leaders.
