A small group of laity was recruited from the New Creation Christian Fellowship of San Antonio, Texas.  While the main purpose of the group was to examine rites of passage as developed through Scriptures, African traditions and the Boy Scouts, particular attention was given to ensure that the group experienced the mentoring process.  This practicum/project laid the foundation necessary to establish a group of mentors committed to teach, transmit, and train young people to become all they are capable of being.
