An estimated 3-4 million American women are beaten each year by their husbands or partners.  Based upon a qualitative research design over a period of two years with victims of abuse and survivors, I've concluded that sometimes the church has remained silent concerning domestic violence.  The aim of this project is to present a model for pastors seeking to engage their congregations in a ministry dealing with abused women.
