Particular theologies, doctrines, morals, and ethics of various religious traditions have contributed to the beliefs, attitudes, mores, and behaviors which have negatively influenced public policy regarding HIV/AIDS and harmfully impacted persons living with, and affected by, the disease.  This project defines the theological and religious barriers to HIV prevention and care and describes the personal and sociomoral impact these barriers impose on the public health system and public policy as well as persons living with HIV disease.
