The researcher involved the children in activities such as praying, singing, liturgical dancing, journaling and crafts, using the pro-active research method.  This method seeks transformation while conducting qualitative research.  The researcher found that children who participated in grief activities involving prayer and worship were more responsive than those who participated in recreational activities alone.
