Evangelism is a part of mission; worship an action of God's people.  Evangelism is a personal and communal activity of a worshipping community.  The paper recounts worship as it was honed in the Black religious American experience. African American Lutheran struggles with Eurocentric worship are explored.  Five worship models used in African American Lutheran circles are proposed.
