Chapter 1 defines the purpose and goals of the project. background information, research methodology and basic definitions for the project are given. Chapter 2 gives the biblical-historical-theological foundation for the project. Biblical uses of koinonia and story are investigated, followed by passages which show biblical use of story to increase koinonia. Chapter 3 gives the social theory behind the project, examining the nature of story and studies of group cohesion. Chapter 4 describes the implementation of the project, describes the research and the worship services of the project. Preaching that is hierarchical, filled with imperatives, and lacking in dialogue no longer communicates in the changing context of the postmodern world. Preaching can be invitational through collaborative formation of sermons, through language that is intentionally invitational, and through presentation that is invitational in style.
