A complex statistical study involving the chi square was used to determine the accuracy of the thesis.  A testing procedure employing the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and the Spiritual Orientation Profile was administered to 100 lay people and 100 clergy persons and the personalities and prayer lives were examined.
