Included are a reflection on system theory, theological and psychological reflections and biblical analysis that challenges traditional beliefs about marriage and divorce. Questionnaires were used successfully to elicit the marital experiences of people in the writer's pastoral charge. Narrative and cognitive behavior therapies are set forth as approaches that can help to heal the wounded in congregations.
