The project seeks to design a process for developing biblically healthy pastoral leadership. Chapter 1 presents the purpose, goals, context, rationale, definitions, and limitations of the project. Chapter 2 discusses biblical and theological perspectives on leadership in the lives of Jesus and Paul. Specifically, this chapter develops the role of servant leadership in the ministries of Jesus and Paul, and espouses it as the biblical model. Chapter 3 surveys leadership as an intellectual discipline and presents a model for biblically healthy pastoral leadership. This chapter also explores the dynamics of team based leadership and gives examples of disciplines common to great leaders. Chapter 4 explains the creation and implementation of the Arizona Leadership Network. Attention is given to the five developmental phases of the project and to the transformational development of a leader from personal leadership to organizational effectiveness. Chapter 5 provides an evaluation of the project goals along with modifications that could be made to strengthen the project for future use.
