With basic training, a group of lay caregivers could fulfill the biblical injunction to encourage others, thereby relieving some of the counseling burden pastors now carry .  A group of twelve carefully selected members of Tiffany Fellowship Assembly of God were trained in specific caregiving skills around an 'encouraging' model of counseling.
