The criteria to measure this are theological soundness, liturgical consistency, and pastoral effectiveness.  This study includes an overview of cultural and church responses to divorce, a comparison of Catholic and Lutheran theologies of marriage, an exegesis of biblical divorce texts, a local study assessing participants' evaluation of a ritual experience, and a theological discussion applying a theologia crucis and the law and gospel paradigm to the issue.
