The author wrote four sermons and planned four worship services based on those sermons. She charted questions on a Likert continuum, adding open-ended and reflection questions on a second page, and solicited volunteers to participate in the research. Seven worshipers volunteered, and attended four consecutive Sunday services, reflecting, answering questions on the form, and being interviewed.
