In order to find out why, the author researched a typical Mennonite woman's life, that of her grandmother, to discover what Mennonite spirituality was. The author also researched the development of the spiritual formation curriculum at the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminaries since the 1980s, to discover why and what Mennonite spirituality is  becoming.
