The HMong became the CIA's secret army fighting against the Communist forces.  By the late 1960's, as the war in Laos intensified, the HMong were doing the majority of America's fighting, and dying, there.  In May 1975, after the fall of Laos, tens of thousands of HMong escaped to Thailand.  As an autobiographical study, the project thesis serves as a historical study of the HMong people.
