The design provides participants an opportunity to get acquainted, worship, see a video on a issue of public concern--in this case, the United Nations. They are instructed on how to write an official about their views, then they do that.  In addition to discovering that the program was workable, the author found that people will take the time to contribute to peace if they are shown how. The author also examined and reflected on the thought of Juan Luis Segundo and Reinhold Niebuhr, offering, too, his rationale for Christian involvement in the public arena.
