This thesis is developed both theoretically and practically.  Theoretically, the paper reflects exploration into the meaning of spirituality as defined by Paul Tillich and David Steindl-Rast, coupled with the adaptation of a spiritual reading methodology, lectio divina.  The paper also establishes the dialectical relationship of poetic language and theological language.
