It includes a critical, historical analysis of supervision within the Pentecostal context.  The author concludes that ministry supervision is undergirded by three confessional elements which legitimate Pentecostal ministry.  The three confessional elements which serve as an interpretive framework for the educational design of Pentecostal supervision are 1) supervision as covenant; 2) supervision as character; and 3) supervision as commission.
