She presents herself as in desperate need of affirmation.  The woman feels that she is not in control of her life and is a failure in both her profession and her marriage.  The author uses object relations mode of therapy to treat the woman.  He integrates this approach with theological aspects which are suggested by Paul Tillich's writings.  The client's husband joins her in therapy.  This addition contributes to the building of a satisfying marital relationship.
