The most disturbing facts of the termination data are the reasons cited. Since 1983 the most-reported reasons for termination are not moral failure (lying, stealing, sexual immorality), false teaching, or any other violation of biblical qualifications, but rather nonspecific reasons such as control issues, pastor's leadership style too strong/weak, or decline in membership.
