The project participants attended two six-hour training events. The first event concentrated on the role of mentoring and the second on acquiring a basic understanding of interpresonal relationship skills. The project director recruited Baptist leaders from churches in the Lamar and Lebanon Baptist Associations currently supporting the Baptist Student Union. He developed the teaching material, a fill-in-the-blank notebook, a pre-test/post-test, and a covenant response sheet.
