To succeed in this purpose, I researched the field of discipleship to gain a foundational understanding of biblical discipleship. I examined demographic trends concerning current and upcoming generations of college-aged adults and distilled four competencies to effectively disciple college-aged believers. The competencies were framed within and expounded upon through the lens of First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, Alabama’s mission statement. Subsequently, I developed and implemented a four-week curriculum to equip selected adults to disciple college-aged adults. I employed evaluative measures to assess participants’ progress in the identified discipleship competencies.
