They presented and discussed case studies, thereby providing numerous examples for understanding the centrality of relationship in women's ministry.  The author's theoretical perspective includes a relational understanding about human growth and ministry.  Participants expressed a dilemma of choice between themselves and their communities of ministry. Mutual ministry offers a resolution, and includes becoming empowered and empowering others together. It examines the shaman as known in primitive tribes, embodied in Jacob and Jesus, and experienced by Anton Boisen.  It defines the issue of homosexuality and the clergy in this light.
