It identifies and describes explicit strategies and tactics developed to help the congregation move toward increased effectiveness at equipping its members for ministry in their daily workplaces.  Analysis is undertaken of the continuing impact on the ongoing life of the congregation today. ERFCA is Experience, Reflection, Faith/Tradition, Choice and Action.  A group of four to six volunteers met together once every two weeks over ten months with a facilitator.  Each participant covenanted with other group members and developed personal learning goals related to ministry currently engaged in.  A theological and an educational base is described. Worship in seven congregations was analyzed according to its form and classified as hierarchical or communal.  A questionnaire was used to discover the relationship between worship and ministry of the laity in each of the congregations. To aid in this there is theological reflection, the ability to explore one's responses made to God.  A three tiered plan was implemented to examine this: reflection groups were established in four ecclesiastically diverse congregations; each was nurtured in a theological reflective process for four to five weeks; and members were encouraged to further develop and use theological reflection skills.
