The method of investigation included a theological study of the process and the obtaining of data from pastors and church committees through questionnaires and interviews. The result of the study indicate that plannaging is suitable for use in a church, is helpful for administration, and that pastors lack confidence in the use of plannaging following training. The teaching episode needs more 'hands on' experiences plus opportunities for theological reflection."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133249331789824,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:16:17.148Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:41:58Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:31:50Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f511cb10-2106-4a51-a9bf-b609c474a9ca","accessControl_ssim":["c5009632-f7c5-4c17-999a-2e1b7f25c1e0"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A model cross-cultural ministerial training program: a summary of key resources"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:41:57Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:07:50Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["146ba10c-6115-4672-9cc2-374f12fcb4b6"],"hasLease_ssim":["932bd96e-a91f-44a7-9c4a-8682ac301c44"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"advisor_tesim":["Meredith Handspicker"],"year_tesim":["1991"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Vincent S Boi-Nai"],"publisher_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"subject_tesim":["Church work","Cross-cultural studies","Religious education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The focus of this doctoral project is to provide a systematic approach for training students for cross-cultural ministry. This project places Winnicott in the Freudian and Kleinian tradition, and relates his theories to the footwashing and last discourse in John's gospel, and to pastoral care. The facilitating environment demanded for unfolding the dependent individual's maturational potential is the caregiver: normally the mother, therapeutically the psychoanalyst, for discipleship the pastor. All care retains maternal characteristics, and implies sufficiency for development of trust to repudiate the caregiver, who remains available for establishing personal relationship.
