The historical and sociological background of the Caribbean immigrant family was researched, and a model for addressing their needs was designed in the form of a nine-session seminar series focusing on the areas identified above. This thesis explores ways by which the Seventh-Day Adventist Church can adapt radio broadcasting for social change and evangelism in Ghana. Thus, a study of literature on the art of religious broadcasting, contracts by letters, and interviews and surveys were made to find practical and innovative approaches to contexualized radio evangelism. Several New Testament examples were explored in an effort to determine the church's responsibility on behalf of the missing members.  The descriptive method was used in the study.  It was based upon 176 responses to a questionnaire and personal interviews with people who have dropped out of the church.  The responses were evaluated by the Research and Statistics Department of Andrews University.
