He also examined a wide range of literature, explored Malawian traditional forms of discipleship, and the role played by the rites of passage to create a true African personhood. This led to a contextualized discipleship model that is true to biblical principles and at the same time sensitive to the host culture. The author concluded that Christ's disciples spread the teachings, values, goals, and lifestyle of their Master. The methodology of this study comprised the design and selection of three instruments, the application of the surveys, and data analysis.  The findings enabled the researcher to create a profile of the observed community.
