The project included quantitative and qualitative pre-test, post-test design that assessed knowledge relating to participants' Christian identity.  The pre-test assessment showed participants had limited knowledge in the project's goals, along with little trust of a small group experience. The resource helps volunteer missionaries examine and apply studies of educational learning theories, cultural challenges, and climatic obstacles. This training manual also provides information regarding the histories and effects of major missionary influences of the region's past.Evaluations reported that the manual provided an adequate summary of historic mission endeavors in Alaska's panhandle. The project looks at selected accredited theological institutions and Hispanic-Latino community-based training programs.  It also gathers by questionnaire data from selected pastors, teachers, and students on ministry training for Hispanic-Latino church leaders.  As a result all three groups of respondents (pastors, teachers, and students) believe that academic training and a curriculum grounded in the culture and experiences of our people is very important for the task of leadership training.
