The purpose of this workshop was to aid these congregations as well as the cooperative parish as a whole in being more effective in ministry by seeking ways to enhance the lay leadership in serving Christ in their church and community. Methods employed include academic research balanced with practical on-site involvement.  The study concludes that outposting by particular congregations can work and should be encouraged in addition to or as viable alternatives to denominational strategies.
