The congregation participated in a seven-week course on corporate prayer. Through surveys and a filmed group evaluation, the project director was able to assess the effectiveness of the project. He sought to accomplish this through eight one-hour, weekly training sessions, and a one-day prayer retreat.  The participants indicated that they grew in their understanding and practice of intercessory prayer. This praxis provided times of corporate worship guided by the Psalms, as well as teaching and devotional writing from the Psalms, presented in such a way to foster greater understanding of the Psalter and facilitate psalm-based prayer.
