The Praxis Director undertook to lead the congregation in a revitalization initiative to help the church experience renewal through preaching, pastoral leadership, and training. The director translated the Passion Harmony into 'everyday language,' led a seven-part Bible study, and preached a sermon series utilizing the 'new text.' Participants and congregants evaluated the Bible studies and sermons to assess the effectiveness of the presentations. The project director also assisted the project participants in the application of Christian theology to their daily hospice service.  In order to achieve this, the project director wrote an eleven-unit biblical reference booklet for the participants and led them in ten related devotions.  The director used tests and conversational questions to evaluate the ministry intervention. This praxis provided times of corporate worship guided by the Psalms, as well as teaching and devotional writing from the Psalms, presented in such a way to foster greater understanding of the Psalter and facilitate psalm-based prayer.
