This thesis research project explained how these organizations could address this problem by embracing intercultural partnerships. Understanding kingdom culture is the key to becoming intercultural. Kingdom culture is rooted in the character of the creator. Using grounded theory, a clear pathway for implementing intercultural partnerships was discovered. Common themes found in Christian organizations that have achieved intercultural partnerships were shared, as well as the steps that have helped these organizations progress through the process."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fccbc3d7-874c-42e3-8a20-621b107c56c7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132984108122112,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:12:04.212Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:42:45Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:56:47Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1badc6b3-62b0-4146-95cc-74a99c2fa3ed","accessControl_ssim":["71e3d5af-dc2e-45dd-a869-b001bd7f9e73"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Understanding and addressing the resistance to seeking counseling from a partor or a professional counselor"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:42:44Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:56:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5b8709fd-c31e-45a6-a1ec-810bb75d064a"],"hasLease_ssim":["0a94410f-fa80-4f44-bcbb-64c4d44cd943"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["Dale Hawley"],"year_tesim":["2010"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Joseph Thomas Moore"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"subject_tesim":["Defense mechanisms (Psychology)","Peace of mind","Pastoral counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project addressed resistance to seeking counseling. This project is qualitative in nature; case study research was the primary methodology employed. A biblical theology of inter-cultural community was defined focusing on spirituality, hospitality, and missionality. Ethnographic tools were utilized to determine the emic perspective of the multi-cultural setting of Bethel Christian Fellowship. Characteristics of inter-cultural leaders in a multi-cultural setting were discovered. Transformational dynamics needed to shift a local church to an inter-cultural mindset were described. Synthesizing these insights the researcher delineated a strategy for building a House of Prayer for All Nations."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fccbc3d7-874c-42e3-8a20-621b107c56c7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132786464129024,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:08:55.724Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:42:15Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:58:12Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"82042ab3-8655-4b26-9b3d-e74ce84a5e91","accessControl_ssim":["3244e5b7-fa90-49b5-ad9f-d2bc1161bd14"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Understanding how evangelical churches assimilate people in recovery into the general life of the church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:42:14Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:58:12Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["a9d45cbe-ec68-4886-b4fc-c8a8bd1f8ad1"],"hasLease_ssim":["de35dc3e-e481-4398-9697-68555593cec5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["Jeffrey A Matteson"],"year_tesim":["2010"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Mark S Vander Meer"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"subject_tesim":["Evangelicalism","Church work with addicts"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This thesis addressed the issue of recovery ministry and the church.
