Participants met weekly for three months, presented verbatim and reflected on how they were learning to share the vision.  The group discovered that developing shared vision is an ongoing process requiring deliberate reflection and accountability.  Leaders seeking to do so must comprehend the vision profoundly, be genuinely committed to it and learn how to refer to the vision statement explicitly in all aspects of their ministry. The goal was to teach children how to pray using sacred dance.  The program was theologically built upon the work of Elizabeth Johnson and Sallie McFague.  It incorporated songs and scriptures containing inclusive language and images of God that were feminine, and of nature. The theological context for developing the model included biblical realism, a praxis liberation, and a revised correlational method, particularly in the writings of D S Browning and T H Groome.  The model of pastoral guidance was unlike brief counseling or crisis intervention.  This three to four session model focused on spiritual discernment concerning a particular issue, using guided meditation, homework, and longer breaks between sessions. The program assessed caregiver's stress reactions, gathered religious and spiritual resources, and used these resources for self-care.  Participants' beliefs, reactions to trauma work, and use of religion and humanistic spirituality to cope were evaluated by pre- and post-tests and audio-taped recordings of the group sessions. Traditional evangelical women exemplify how patriarchal paradigms prevent women from finding their voices.  Pat Schneider's creative writing program was used in a spiritual growth workshop.  The women participants described the difficulties of having a voice amidst both their church's patriarchal authority and their internal struggles with their role as women.  As the workshop concluded the women reported experiencing some personal growth. Patients from Florida Hospital Family Health Center completed the Religiosity Coping Index.
