The project seeks to prepare students for the requirements and dynamics of ordination, relocation, interviewing, financial negotiation, responding to a call, ministerial ethics, and the first months in the resident pastorate. The structure was drastically changed in 1972 from the traditional elders, deacons, and deaconesses to a cabinet of seventy. Since its inception, there have been no attempts to evaluate the new structure for effectiveness. In this project five to seven families participated in a process designed to enable them to express their spirituality in terms of enhanced prayer life, use of faith language, use of the Bible and of Christian witnessing. These objectives were the recruitment of students, development of the project program, implementation of the program, and initiation of the codes by participants. The project sought to generate interest through a theological and a pragmatic rationale to provide such assistance.  Volunteer assistance was sought from active duty and retired members of a specific military community.  The report deals with the planning and coordination among several official helping agencies on the base.
