Members of these churches exhibit diverse musical preferences and appear to welcome diversity. They find hymn singing essential to worship. The program stressed the personal-relational nature of the Gospel.  It focused on aiding and equipping members in a new church development to live out their Christian faith in authentic and meaningful ways as individuals and as members of a community.  The project implemented in the Mountain View United Methodist Church in the Fall of 1987.  It organized persons into small groups for study, sharing and reflection.  During the ten week implementation period of the project, participants met to study prepared materials.
