Its biblical and historical antecedents are found respectively in the New Testament ecclesia and in John Wesley's ministry of evangelism in eighteenth century England.  This comprehensive ministry includes three elements: a sound theological foundation, a strong faith-serving ministry, and a well organized faith-sharing ministry, which, when in place, can improve the evangelism ministries of Caribbean congregations. Rather it is evangelism that incorporates the proclamation of the Kingdom and the community development of the unchurched poor through the shared praxis between local church and community.  Therefore, Kingdom evangelism ultimately seeks a revolution in ecclesiology.  Not the church in and for itself but the church in and for the world is at stake in Kingdom evangelism.
