By examining the reality of persons with BPD in light of studies in psychology, missiology, process theology, and postmodern theology, the project seeks to discover alternate methods of communicating the message. These are that when a preacher and the persons listening to his or her sermon are of the same personlality type the response to the sermon by the listener will be more positive than when their types differ; and when a preacher and those persons listening to his or her sermon are of differing personality types communication is impeded. Data was gathered by using both the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and eight sermons preached with the same congregation during one twelve-week period.
