The project uses information obtained from an extensive review of the literature on adult education and the Baptist deacon. It examines such skills as leadership, group management, conflict management, and church family ministry needs.  The material first is presented pedagogically.  An andragogical section follows which presents practical uses of the material.  Some positive results are obtained. A pre-test questionnaire measured levels of marital satisfaction and the endorsement of irrational beliefs and offered rational alternatives to these beliefs to determine the impact of the workshop.
