This project interviews more than 100 pastors and elderly persons, pointing to urgent needs for ministry, and it also analyzes typical examples of ministry in New York and New Jersey. The Judeo-Christian heritage provides an ethical mandate for this kind of diakonia or service.  This project is a result of research on the needs of the elderly, especially those who have become frail and require assistance and how pastoral care can best satsisfy those needs.
