The study uses a survey format to obtain data regarding church planting in the Churches of Christ in Australia.  The total number of congregations is approximately 450 with 102 responding to the survey.  20% of the churches responding had attempted a church plant in the last ten years. This is compared with the pattern of the New Testament church and with current developments of cell group churches in various parts of the world.
